Once it is loaded to your device you never need a signal or cell service. It is a self stored app it does not depend on an internet connection. It's called airplane mode.

Winnie, thanks for taking the time to write. I hope I explained correctly how all this works. The painting Tommy is doing isn't up for bid at all. We (meaning) who ever can contribute to the fund drive are commissioning Tommy to do a painting to donate to hopefully Trout Unlimited. I should find that out by the end of the week.

I think your idea should prove benefical to both the organization and the artist. I have seen more of Tommy's work and I think he is very talented. Whomever has the winning bid should be pleased with their painting.

No, there is no need for a wireless connection for any of our field guide apps. Thanks for asking.

Hi-
I want to use this app in the woods where there's no cell connection. Does this app require a data connection in order to function?

Thank you.

Danny,
The app will grow within the next year and I will be adding more trees to a future update. I'll try to include as many fruit trees as I can. It's getting later in the year and I may aim that update with the added species to a Spring time release. I'm glad you have been enjoying the app, there will be a quick update to fix a bug as soon as that makes it's way out of programming. If you have any free time I would love it if you could leave a review in iTunes. Jeff

What are the plans for expanding the database on the Tree Guide App. I am really enjoying it . . . but have been frustrated in my attempts to try and identify some fruit trees growing in our area. The database the app draws from seems to be pretty limited, still, at this point. Does the app draw off your own database? Or is it tying into a bigger database? And if it's your own . . . do y'all have plans to expand the database? I'd love to have all the fruit trees added!

Like I said . . . really enjoying the app . . . great work!

Justin if more people thought like you it would be a no brainer to develop more Android apps.

Hi,

Saw a comment on the tree guide app page regarding the devolopment and release of apps to the Android market and that the use of this app appeared to be low in that market. I can't comment on that directly but I can tell you that I live in the uk and am an Andriod user and would love an app like this for the uk, and the trees one, and a butterflies one, and one on moths and flowers etc etc. The sooner I can get my hands on apps like these and do away with the bag of field guides I end up carrying around with me the better. I appreciate that one user doesn't make a 'market' but I can't believe there are not more like me in the uk.

Keep up the good work,

Justin
